Story
Chapter 52: Realization
Together, Lea and Roxas fight off Rin. Seeing that she’s at a disadvantage, she tells them to go to the abandoned mansion, and disappears. The rest of the town has been frozen. Roxas and Lea check up on Rei. When she recognizes Lea, they realize that Rei’s original consciousness has been drawn out. She’s surprised to see Roxas, and Roxas nervously reintroduces himself, knowing that it’s a different Rei than he is use to knowing. They decide to make their way to the mansion to confront Lius.
When they arrive, Lius and Rin are waiting for them. Lea takes charge as he tries to attack Lius, but he simply transports them away. Roxas and Rei focus on their efforts against Rin. However, she manages to sneak up behind Roxas, turns into Bug Bloxes, and infects his data. The corrupted Data-Roxas is suddenly unresponsive, but he summons two keyblades and begins attacking Rei.
Chapter 53: A Nobody
Lius has transported Lea into a white room claiming that he just wants to talk. He inquires about what it means to be a whole, to be rejoined to your complete self in such a natural fashion. He asks about Axel, and if it feels like his memories are distant. Do his memories feel like someone else's? Do Roxas and Rei feel like friends of a friend? Lea tries to attack Lius with nobodies, but they stop in their tracks. It is revealed that Lius himself started out as a nobody, but is now one with a fragmented heart.
Chapter 54: Corruption
Rei is overpowered by the corrupted Data Roxas. Before he is able to defeat her, Naminé appears and disarms Roxas, stealing the Oathkeeper from him. Naminé calls out to a surprised Rei, telling her they can catch up later. Together they team up and fight against the corrupted Roxas, eventually purifying him from the bugs.
*Chapter 55: To Be Alive
Naminé helps Roxas and Rei find Lea. They find him overwhelmed by the nobodies, and all three save him. They learn about Lius' true intentions, and manage to erase him from the world card.
Chapter 56: In My Heart
Naminé tells Rei that if she wants to return to the real world, she has to go to sleep for the connection between her and Data-Rei to be severed. Because these memories are constantly looping, the memory will just reset to day one, and Data-Rei will regain control. Lea tells her that the choice is hers, and he leaves ahead of her. Roxas tells Rei that he's not the real one. If she leaves, he'll forget everything, but he'll always have Data-Rei with him. He tells her that he only wants her to stay if she really wants to, not because she feels she has to. Rei has a tearful goodbye with Data Roxas, but ultimately chooses to return to reality. Data-Naminé comforts Data-Roxas as they watch Rei enter the pod and they say their final goodbyes.
"I know it's for the best, but...I didn't know it'd feel this horrible not being the original."
